CBT CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

MKA Amoako Company Limited designs, implements, and delivers CBT curricula tailored to sectors such as oil & gas, engineering, education, and general industry, ensuring workforce readiness and quality assurance.

v  Competency-Based Training (CBT) focuses on equipping learners with practical skills and measurable competencies rather than only theoretical knowledge. 

v  Needs-Oriented Design: Curriculum is developed after assessing industry requirements and workforce skill gaps. 

v  Structured Modules: Training is broken into flexible units, each targeting specific competencies. 

v  Outcome-Based: Learners progress by demonstrating mastery of defined skills and standards. 

v  Practical Emphasis: Strong focus on hands-on training, workplace practice, and simulations. 

v  Assessment: Uses performance-based evaluation methods to confirm competence. 

v  Impact: Enhances employability, productivity, and adaptability of graduates to meet labor market demands.

In 2014, M.K.A. Amoako Company Limited achieved a significant milestone by completing six Competence-Based Training (CBT) programmes at the National Certificate 1 level for the Ghana Education Service (GES), under the auspices of the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET). These programmes were developed to enhance the quality and relevance of TVET in Ghana and are currently being piloted in selected technical institutions nationwide and was sponsored by the World Bank.

In 2016 also MKA was giving the assignment to revise Occupational Standards for Welding and Fabrication I, generate suitable GAC’s, Skills and Sub-Skills for Wielding and Fabrication II, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering all at National Certificate II and Electronics and Mechanical at HND level under the sponsorship of African Development Bank (AfDB). 

CAPACITY BUILDING

 Focuses on strengthening skills and knowledge of individuals and institutions.  Provides tailored training programs to enhance workforce efficiency and productivity.  Supports sustainable development through human capital investment. 

CHARITY WORKS

 Invests in community development and social responsibility projects.  Supports vulnerable groups through donations and outreach programs.  Promotes health, education, and youth empowerment initiatives. 

EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION

 Provides professional installation services for supplied equipment.  Ensures safety standards and compliance with industry regulations.  Offers technical expertise for seamless integration into operations. 

EQUIPMENT USAGE TRAINING

 Delivers hands-on training for effective equipment operation.  Reduces downtime and misuse through practical demonstrations.  Builds confidence and competence among users.

OIL AND GAS DISTRIBUTION

 Engages in safe and efficient distribution of petroleum products.  Maintains strong logistics and supply chain networks.  Supports energy needs for industries and communities. 

INFRASTRUCTURE BUILDING

Undertakes construction and development projects.  Focuses on durable, cost-effective, and modern infrastructure solutions.  Contributes to community and national development. 

EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS SUPPLY

 Provides textbooks, teaching aids, and learning resources.  Supports schools, colleges, and training institutions.  Enhances access to quality education materials. 

IMPORT AND EXPORT OF GENERAL GOODS

 Facilitates international trade of diverse products.  Ensures compliance with customs and trade regulations.  Strengthens global partnerships and market access.

  •  Ensures reliable sourcing from trusted manufacturers and distributors.
  •  Offers competitive pricing and after-sales support. .


In 2015 and 2016 MKA Supplied equipment under a GIZ project for some selected TVET institutions in Ghana. MKA also undertook a technical Inspection for Biomedical Equipment Supplied to the Ho Technical University by Lucas-Nuelle GmbH, Germany through the sponsorship of African Union Development Agency (AUDA) under the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) and the Skills Initiative for Africa (SIFA) Project.
